Phycom selects the best algae strains and makes the culture axenic. Only then can the microalgae be used for production. The culture is pure and completely free of all contaminants. Bacteria and other contaminating organisms can attach to algae and grow in parallel with them. Phycom has developed techniques to eliminate these unwanted organisms.NEXT STEP
After step 1 is complete, the production of biomass begins. The algae are grown in a completely closed system so that the growth can be fully controlled from start to finish.NEXT STEP
Phycom harvests the microalgae. The water is separated from the algae, producing a yoghurt-like paste.NEXT STEP
Immediately after harvesting, Phycom processes the algae paste. This is usually done by drying. The drying temperature and rate have been optimised to preserve the high-quality nutrient profile of the microalgae.NEXT STEP
